Happy New Year!!!!
In looking at my list of books to read for this year I noticed I’m pretty light on fiction. Anyone have recs for a novel that meets the following fairly specific criteria:
21st century
Breezy—300ish pages or fewer
South Asian or Latin American author (can be set in South Asia or Latin America, or be about the diaspora/immigration too)?
Bonus points if the author is a woman and if it isn’t totally traumatic and dark—a South Asian novel doesn’t HAVE to be about partition and poverty, Latin American doesn’t have to be about military dictatorships, etc.
