I can’t seem to find similar books and by that i mean coming of age or psychological books that give me warm and fuzzy but also heart wrenching feelings and its important that i get to absolutely love the main characters
i’m open to any suggestions, can be YA obviously and any genre

I loved the main characters in the Neil Peel trilogy by Ben Dixon, particularly Lemony Peel, the older sister. They were very funny but the characters were so well crafted that you really care for them, and there is a joy and a heart. They may seem to be YA but resonate well with nostalgic adults. The Heroic Truths of Neil Peel is the first one.
