Ilona Andrews Innkeeper Chronicles –A magic Inn, space werewolves and vampires, a lot of really unique aliens, mystery, romance, action, a fun and humorous series

Are you a nerd? If so, look for off to be the wizard by Scott Meyer. Its filled with nerdy pop references and is pretty funny and engaging.

I listened to Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson on audiobook and it was fun. The narrator was engaging, although his voice for Tress bothered me lol. I loved the humorous narration style.
So this is not exactly “light” but personally I find thrillers to be super engaging and easy to listen to. The murders etc don’t bother me, it’s only horror that makes me a little more uncomfortable. So if you’re similar, Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera and The First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston were great books and well done audiobooks. Thriller/mysteries.
I don’t read very much romance, but I listened to The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter and it was cute and engaging. The writing wasn’t amazing, but I liked the narration and the plot.
Listening to the “graphic audio” versions of the ACOTAR series after I read them was very fun.

Project Hail Mary ticks the boxes if you like SF.
Hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy is another.
