Hi everyone!
I'm searching for a book that explores and critically examines celebrity culture, particularly focusing on how society idolizes and elevates these figures.
This topic first caught my attention during the U.S. election, where both parties seemed to rely heavily on celebrity endorsements as part of their strategies. It made me reflect on how much cultural and even political influence these individuals hold, and what that says about our society.
So far, I’ve come across Trick Mirror: Reflections on Self-Delusion by Jia Tolentino as a possible read that touches on these themes, but I’d love to hear about other books that dive into this subject.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
