Hi! I’ve recently been reminded that I thoroughly enjoy a good crime procedural tv show (highly recommended High Potential on Hulu) and I’m wondering if y’all could recommend some books that could fit the bill. What I prefer to read: strong female lead, well written, thought out characters and development. I read a lot of fantasy romance, and it doesn’t have to contain a romantic angle, I also wouldn’t be mad about it. Added bonus if there is diversity in characters and/or written by an author of color. Crime TV shows I’ve watched and liked: Monk, Law and Order, High Potential, and recently, I’ve been into Will Trent.

Maybe the Temperance Brennan series by Cathy Reichs? I think the first one was called De ja Dead (iirc).
