I used to be an avid reader at a younger age. Like, sit and read an easy 100 pages in one go kind of reader, I loved it! I’m not like that anymore, and I listen to audiobooks now here and there. I really miss always having something to read, but now it feels harder to find books that I like, and consistently. Growing up, some of my favorite books was The Thin Executioner by Darren Shan and The Stand by Stephen king. Some of my favorite recent reads include The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, and Fairy Tale by, yet again, Stephen King. If any of you have some solid book recommendations based off of what I just said, I’d appreciate you forever. So many books I try to read nowadays don’t seem to have much of a story, or are always undercut by some lame contrived romance. I think I might die if a court of thorns and roses might gets suggested to me again. I just love a good story, I like spooky, I like weird and strange, I like adventures and fantasy, and I don’t mind books that have a slow pace as long as they’re good! Thanks y’all!
