I'm a relatively new reader, having just started reading books last year.
I love movies/shows that have great attention to detail, where they drop small hints or develop certain themes throughout the story and make you think, or ones where when you rewatch them you pick up things you missed the first time. Examples of these are Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul, Severance, Succession, etc.
What got me into reading was the realization that stories that fall into this category are probably far more abundant in books than in screenplay, so I'm looking for a new story that I can dive into.
I would prefer a mystery/thriller genre or something of that sort that is not too long, since I'm still new in my reading habit and need to build my "reading stamina". I'm simply not at the point yet where I can spend several hours in a day reading a 1,000 page book, for example.
Thanks!
