Has anyone got any suggestions of books/series interesting enough to distract my busy brain when I'm trying to sleep but mundane enough that I don't have to keep rereading the bits I fell asleep reading?
I am prone to staying up late reading when I get invested so can't be too gripping lol

I prefer to listen to podcasts to fall asleep. It’s easier to rewind and you can put a timer so you don’t miss the whole thing. You can also look for guided meditation for sleep on Spotify. It usually takes me less than 10 minutes to fall asleep and I feel I sleep better when I listen to the guided meditation.
I might get struck down for this, but Anna Karenina might work. The plot moves slowly enough that you’ll be able to follow it, but the overall tale is good enough to keep you going.
My wife likes crime fiction to fall asleep to. Like Val McDermid, the one with flashbacks to the Yugoslav civil war. Death camps, torture, mass graves and gang rapes. Zzzzzz…
