I have always struggled to just sit down and read a book. I’m planning on going to therapy to learn other ways or techniques to manage my brain and take control over certain aspects of my life that my ADHD affects, and reading is one of those areas I want to expand.
I CAN read very well, but every time I pick up a book, even if it’s very interesting, as I’m reading my brain starts a steady departure to a million other places lol.
Currently I’m listening to an Audio book (men with adult adhd by Lucas Walter) and so far it has given me a lot of insight and reassurance on what I’ve experienced throughout my life. Anyone else experience the same thing and have suggestions for other books of a similar genre?
