I'm not religious but I want a book of Bible stories for my children. Knowing the stories gives you so much understanding of Western literature and culture. Surely there's a beautifully illustrated Bible stories book out there for children/teens. I'd prefer the violence toned down from the original (at least in the pictures. Some of that could be very graphic…) And I don't need any moralizing or study guide questions. Surely this exists! Except I haven't found it.
Any suggestions?

Kingston’s comic bible
When I was a kid, this kind of book was available in every Christian book store. Sadly I don’t remember the name or publisher of the one I had.
