New to reading fiction (love non-fic), but recently enjoyed reading Project Hail Mary (Andy Weir) and Aurora (Kim Stanley Robinson).
I want to explore other authors to branch out and I'll read more Weir and Robinson later.
What are some standalone sci-fi books you'd recommend? I'd prefer hard sci-fi. Some of my favorite movies are Interstellar and Inception. Also loved the biological/ecological elements of both of the above novels.
Please and thank you!
Edit to add: specifically books about space or space travel!

Pale Grey Dot, by Don Miasek. Fantastic, and it sounds perfect for you.
If you can deal with a slightly humorous element , The Gone away world by Nick Harkaway is fantastic.
To be Taught if Fortunate by Becky Chambers
