Looking for a book with cool fights and strong main character

i'm trying to get more into reading and i feel like i have a dream book in mind but i don't know how to find it. i'm looking for something fast paced enough to keep me interested, something where there is a lot of action. I like samurai or maybe even cowboys- anything, i'm open to different worlds. i would also really like the main character to be thoughtful and strong, a real hero hero. if anyone thinks they could help it would mean a lot to me, thank you!
