been in a anxiety episode on and off quote often, and I found out reading helped in some way.
However I can't read self-developing books, which I used to read a lot, as it made me feel worthless in some way. Tried to read Flower of Algernon, but it was too depressing to me. Even poetry triggers.
What's your suggestions for books that can get you out of it? All genre welcome

How about some Becky Chambers? I’ve only read her book “A Psalm for the Wild-Built”, but it was a very cozy, uplifting-yet-melancholy story that very much felt like a cup of tea in literary form.
I’ve heard Becky’s other works are similar, though.
Alternatively, if you use StoryGraph, users have submitted trigger warnings for nearly every book so if you’re worried about getting triggered, I’d suggest looking at StoryGraph’s content warnings section for books you’re interested in.
