Suggest me a book about how to navigate the current healthcare landscape in the U.S.
Looking for book recs on how we got to the current state of healthcare and health insurance in the U.S. and how to best advocate for myself and my family.
An American Sickness by Elisabeth Rosenthal offers some concrete advice but it’s also just about what a monstrosity it is. Kinda like 10% advice, 90% explaining how crazy it is.

I really enjoyed Health Communism by Beatrice Alder-Bolton and Artie Vierkant. It looks at some of the profit motives driving our current health system, and it also has some really inspiring and interesting examples of patient activism.
