I'm an autistic adult in chronic burnout and I'm looking for something relatable. I've read and enjoyed Unmasking Autism by Devon Price,We're Not Broken by Eric Garcia, and Neurotribes by Steve Silberman and would be interested in suggestions for more nonfiction with a new perspective. I recently came across some fiction with autistic protagonists that I loved, Strange Sally Diamond by Liz Nugent and How to Be a Normal Person by TJ Klune.
I'm curious if anyone has written about the mechanisms behind social anxiety vis a vis mirror neurons, double empathy, sense of self etc.
Thanks in advance

This is a fiction book, but maybe give Interesting Facts About Space by Emily Austin a whirl.
