I graduated college in December and am almost completely burned out from the amount of reading I've had to do over my senior year. In high school, I used to get hooked on books so easily but after college, I rarely get past the first 20 pages anymore before I lose interest.
I managed to read ACOTAR this past fall and think it was bc of it being easy to digest for my burnt out brain. So, I'm looking for something similar that is easy to digest and paced fast enough to keep my attention till I can get past this burn out. I've been trying to get back into reading, but it's just hard rn (even went to my local book store last week for recommendations, but none of the books staff gave me clicked).
I adore fantasy and love anything with deep lore. I've read and adored The Silmarillion and other LOTR books, but don't think I can handle something that dense atm (tried the fellowship recently and just couldn’t do it). I've also recently started getting interested in greek mythology and westerns.
I'm open to other fiction recommendations though too. I just want to feel that hook again and fall in love with reading again, but I'm just overwhelmed with what's out there.
