Hello everyone, I am looking for books where the author makes use of interesting sentence constructions that take some chewing on. I particularly love authors who string together sentences in a way that has good "mouth feel" and sonic quality. I have been reading a lot of poetry lately, but now I am looking for a novel that carries some of that style into the prose. Some of the authors I have enjoyed recently are Tom Robbins, Susanna Clarke, and Yoko Tawada.
I really love historical fiction and other concepts that revolve around niche areas of interest (for example, read a whole book about bridge by Louis Sachar once). However, I am open to anything since I am trying to expand my interests.

A backpack filled with sunsets by ifeanyi Ogbo. It’s a short poetry collection written by a poet and some of the sentences in the stories read like words alive and recklessly dancing.
The Stranger by Albert Camus
If you haven’t read On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong def start there!!
And for something a little more whimsical with grammar check out Lydia Davis’s short stories.
