So…my 2nd read for 2025 is a DNF. I’m almost finished with my third and am enjoying Lonesome Dove (McMurtry has such a wonderful, flowing style), which I plan to read throughout the next few months around other books.
I’m not exactly sure what I’m looking for.
2024 was mainly slice of life and for 2025 I’m hoping to tackle a larger list and more variety. Give me the best recommendations you have.
Others on my 2025 list are Hula by Jasmin Hakes, The Great Gatsby, North Woods, some Jules Verne, Maeve Binchy, The Sea by John Banville, Shane by Jack Schaefer, and The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey.
I would love well written reads that are memorable enough to look back on and think that I’m glad I read them. Basically, what books, after reading them and loving them, would you add to your personal library? P.S. big snow storm hitting in the next few days so a read with a blizzard would be interesting (but certainly not required).
Not particularly interested in adding romance or fantasy to my list. No SA’s. No Becky Chambers, por favor.
Happy reading!
