I’m getting married later this year and I’m looking for books that can guide me in being more romantic and loving towards my fiancée. We just celebrated our 6 year anniversary together but I admit I’ve never been good at romance. I’ve always been a very independent individual and have a hard time being more sensitive and romantic the way I would like to be. My fiancée is a very sensitive and empathetic person, I hope to be more understanding of her needs but I get so caught up in my own bullshit sometimes and unfortunately forget/fail to think of her happiness.
I used to be more of a creative person when I was younger and hope to read some books that will inspire some creativity when it comes to writing my vows. I don’t know if I’m looking for “romance” books in the typical sense of the term but whatever y’all recommend as being positive insight into a functional lifelong relationship.
Just some quick context if it helps at all, we’re in our early 30s interracial couple. Southerners…I’m a Virgo and she’s a Capricorn. I don’t know what else could be useful in this situation 😅
