The Nvidia way! – A must read for aspiring entrepreneurs.

It has been a long time since I have read biographies. While this book is not a biography, it captures the life of CEO Jensen Huang in many essential ways. This book taught many lessons about what young people should strive for in a world of uncertainties. Not everyone is meant to live a hectic, uncertain, and stressful life. However, when there is passion and perseverance, the world of uncertainties and stress becomes less daunting.

Things I have learned:

1. Whiteboard instead of PowerPoints: Jensen Huang is known as 'The Professor' because of his style of using whiteboards instead of presentations. This gives flexibility and helps top management express ideas clearly that don't get lost in hierarchies. This is particularly interesting as PowerPoints dominate our professional lives. Perhaps one should try this approach at least once to check whether ideas are communicated more effectively.
2. Long-term vision and innovation: When chip-making companies suffered from seasonality due to lack of innovation that could match computer product releases or gaming in the late 1990s, Jensen analysed and reoriented the innovation strategy within Nvidia to ensure continuous innovation cycles. This made Nvidia a sustainable company.
3. Customer experience: When NV1 and NV2 chips failed, the realization struck Jensen deeply. This became a core tenet within Nvidia. Subsequently, chips released by Nvidia focused more on user experience, which brought recognition and demand to Nvidia's products.
4. Hire the best talent: The best talent works with the best. To ensure excellence, top management must create high-level exposure. This philosophy is embedded in Nvidia's culture, ensuring internal competition for the best product releases.
5. 'Only the paranoid survive': This mindset maintained urgency within Nvidia and ensured 'speed of execution.' To outperform competition with superior products, Nvidia kept complacency away from their work culture.

While I might have forgotten many interesting details, these core principles demonstrate how Nvidia functions. This knowledge is valuable for emerging entrepreneurs and business people.
