We talk a lot about characters and plots, but sometimes, it’s the setting that steals the show. I’m talking about books where the world is so vivid, it feels like a character in itself.
For me, it’s ‘One Hundred Years of Solitude’ by Gabriel García Márquez. The town of Macondo felt so alive, with its own spirit, history, and magic, that it was like stepping into a living dream. What’s a book where the setting stayed with you long after you finished reading?
