I have a cute display idea ("Read it and Weep") but need some ideas for what books to put on it. I know a lot of people were emotional for On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous and A Little Life, but I'm sort of lost on what else to seek out. What books actually made you shed a tear?

Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx is the only book that has ever made me (a straight man) cry, and I cry easily when it comes to movies.
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
Never Let Me Go
Lily and the Octopus by Stephen Rowley
The Things We Cannot Say by Kelly Rimmer
The Heart’s Invisible Furies
The Book Thief – Markus Zusak
Of Mice and Men – Steinbeck
