Zombie books that aren’t YA and don’t devolve into “Humans are the REAL monsters!”

I love a good shlocky zombie story. Just love it, but I really hate when a zombie story goes the path of Walking Dead and "Humans are the real monsters!" Because I am fully aware of this. Humans suck. It is boring to me, completely uninteresting.

I also have literally zero interest in anything even remotely young adult, if that's your jam I respect it, but I don't need yet another coming of age story.

I really enjoyed Mountain Man, the zombies were a threat and the rats were amazing, but it quickly devolved into humans being the threat.

Do any books like this exist, a zombie book, not a book about shitty humans with zombies around.
