Asking the opinion of those who like both audiobooks and physical books, NOT audiobook haters. My sister said it’s her favorite book ever but that there’s a lot of difficult or long Russian names and it’s a long book (obv). I like to read a physical book and also listen to an audiobook while I crochet, so I’m wondering if I should put this on my audiobook or physical book list.

I love audiobooks, but I do like to physically read more philosophical stuff. You really digest it better that way, imo.
That said, there’s no shame in consuming it in either form. I do the vast majority of ‘reading’ via audiobooks. My girlfriend couldn’t care less about audiobooks, but we can both enjoy the books and discuss them afterwards.
I am typically someone that avoids audiobooks (due to my own inability to really pay attention aurally). That said, when I read the intro to the P&V translation of Crime and Punishment, there was a note that Dostoevsky had a secretary transcribe the story as he told it aloud to her, so I think listening to an audiobook would be interesting, as it would somewhat capture that method by which it was originally written down.
