I liked The Alchemist and The Stranger but not Siddartha

I liked how The Stranger and The Alchemist were focused on the story and the philosophy surrounding it could be taken from it. Siddartha, though, it was too focused on the philosophy and not on the story itself. Any suggestions? Thanks
