Hi there! I recently got into reading after not reading any books for years, and I finished the following:
- The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
- Brother by Ania Alhorn
- The Housemaid by Freida McFadden
- The Patient by Jasper DeWitt
- Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney
Overall, I enjoyed them, especially the ones with bigger twists in them. I did not like The Housemaid or Rock Paper Scissors as much as I thought it would – I don’t really care for domestic or “romance” themes.
My favorite out of the 5 I read would have to be The Silent Patient. I know it also has domestic issues and romance themes in it, but I could handle those more than in the other books.
I also really enjoyed Brother, even with its weirdness and how it made me uncomfortable. The Patient was also a great read, though I’m not super into paranormal or supernatural thrillers.
Any suggestions for thriller books with twists that aren’t heavy on romance or domestic issues?
