Not really looking for books on coping with grief. I’ve managed before, and I just want stories. Something to make me feel not so detached. I’ve just been sleeping all day or staring at the wall.
Looking for something like Chicken Soup for the Soul (not religious but I enjoy the dog-related stories), James Herriot, or similar books to the A Dog’s Purpose trilogy. I have those and am working my way to reading them.
Or anything really, to be honest. If you read any books unrelated to dogs that brought you comfort whilst, suggest them as well. I’m open to anything.

All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot
I’m so sorry about your dog. It’s devastating to lose a furry family member.

Three of my comfort books are -Legends of the Sky by Liz Flanagan, -don’t expect magic by Kathy McCullough, and -Boy X by Dan Smith. They’re all youth or YA fiction and I make no promises about you liking them, but when I feel suck I read them.
