Seeking a fiction book to finish off my 2025 reading list.

Every year I curate a list of books for my family & friends to read along with me. Participants ages range from 26-92 years, varied education levels, all live in the US now.

This years list is non-fiction heavy, so I’m looking for a fiction book to end the year on.

Anything super dense is a no go for this group. Easy reads are great so the people who are “not big readers” can participate too 🥰

Jan – killers of the flower moon (NF)

Feb – parable of the sower

March – this is not propaganda (NF)

    April – convenience store woman

    May- the radium girls (NF)

June – how we show up (NF)

July – The new Jim Crow OR black against empire (opinions on this one welcome!) (NF)

    August – all systems red

    Sept – invisible women (NF)

    Oct – mother night

Nov – for small creatures such as we (NF)

    Dec – TBD!

Extra credit book- on tyranny – Timothy Snyder

      Ooh- what an amazing list!
Last December my book club was looking for a short, compelling read that wouldn’t cause a burden during the holidays. We all loved this book for its historical and cozy yet tragic vibe (written and set in 1930s bourgeoisie Harlem).

      Passing by Nella Larsen

My last book of 2024 was one of my faves for the year – North Woods by Daniel Mason
