Hi everyone! I’m putting together a “blind date with a book” box for my friend’s birthday, and I’d love your help finding the perfect recommendations. The idea is to gift her 12 books (one for each month of the year), with each book matching the vibe of the month. For example, something romantic for February (Valentine's Day), a summery read for July, or a cozy/wintery book for December.
A little about my friend:
She’s a 32-year-old mom of three with a bit of a laid back hippie vibe who loves reading and wants to do more of it this year to get back to herself so id like to curate her a box with 12 books wrapped and labeled to help encourage a book a month.
Books she has read and enjoyed:
- The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
- The Haunting of Adeline by H.D. Carlton
- The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
- No One Left to Tell by Karen Rose
- All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
- Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
- She also loves Colleen Hoover books, but I’d like to avoid including those since she has probably already read them.
Criteria I’m looking to meet:
- Twelve book recommendations: One for each month of the year, fitting the vibe of that month (e.g., romantic in February, summery in July, wintery in December, etc.). It doesn't have to be exact but id like to get close at least
- Similar genres and themes: The recommendations should align with the books she has enjoyed.
- Unique suggestions: Something she might not have picked up yet but matches her tastes.
I’d really appreciate any help finding the perfect books for her! Thank you so much! 😊
