Just wondering if anyone could recommend a good mythology book that includes a compilation of stories from different cultures? I'm looking for a good one for my friends birthday, and she really likes that sort of stuff.
Bullfinch’s Mythology is canon. Someone bought me a nice leather bound copy for my birthday when I was 16 and I still have it. I’m almost 50 now.

*In the Beginning* by Virginia Hamilton is an illustrated collection of creation stories.

*Mythic Dreams* edited by Navah Wolf is a collection of short stories inspired by myths from around the world– it might be fun for your friend to get some different spins on stories she knows and introduce her to some she might not be familiar with.
