Idk ab NO sadness at all because there are lots of feelings but just overall happy I would say house in the cerulean sea, I cried happy tears at the end

Hotel New Hampshire, John Irving. Been decades since I read it . All I remember is it’s about day to day living. In a weird place admittedly.

Elevation by Stephen King.
It’s a novella, and I found it delightful.

In order to have a story, there needs to be some sort of conflict that the characters resolve. Conflict usually comes with emotions such as sadness or frustration. So I’m not sure if finding a book with NO sadness is possible.
I would however, recommend *How The Penguins Saved Veronica* By Hazel Prior. Very charming and I had good laughs from it. It’s a very touching story.

There is some sadness but it kinda all makes sense but the House in the Cerulean Sea.

Anything by Richard Bach.
