This is kinda strange but recently I’ve been counting my reading as a goal to check off, like how many books I can read a year, rather than how many good books I can enjoy reading a year. I used to read much longer 600-1000 word books but haven’t for a while due to attention and anxiety.
I like found family, non-dystopian fiction (doesn’t have to be utopia or positive, just not post atomic bomb/apocalypse/hunger games young adult esq.) I do enjoy dark topics, however. Gifted kids, either intellectual or super powers. Also high strung, Ivy League dramatics, which I am enjoying comparing to my own college experience (thankfully with less murder).
I also enjoy non fiction, including public health and microbio.
