I might have used the wrong word! It maybe should be prehistoric not palaolithic.

By accurate I mean not fantastical and romanticised but research based! Any suggestions? I love clan of the cave bear. I have read chronicles of ancient darkness by Michelle paver which is great but that would be an example of something much too fantastical.

If you have a suggestion, would you mind summarising it a little as well as saying the title?

    Thanks so much!

hm, today I found out that one of my favourite authors for ghost stories also wrote a book about the paleolithic.

Anyways, Shaman by Kim Stanley Robinson should do the trick ! It has some very light fantasy elements but is based off of Pleistocene Europe. Born Kjurten ( famous palaeontologist ) also wrote some fiction regarding the Paleolithic but I forgot the name off of the top of my head !
