I want to read about a disaster wedding. I find them entertaining, but I'll accept a variety of moods and tones. They're welcome, in fact!
I don't know where else to look beyond chicklit, and the first one I read used the wedding as a jumping off point for the majority of the plot, and it was over by chapter 2 despite having "Wedding" in the title. I want a book focused on a wedding or the planning of it. Obviously there's gonna be pages devoted outside of this, and that is fine by me. If there is any genre term I can use to search better on my own, I'd appreciate it.
My biggest reservations are speculative fiction and historical fiction. I want a realistic fiction story. Or at least realistic in the wedding theming, even if the world isn't the same – I recently read a post apocalypse dystopia set in the near future that featured an unexpected wedding in its climax, and it was still aligned with what I am currently looking to read in terms of "realism" and "contemporary setting."
