Like the title says, I basically exclusively read thrillers/mysteries. When looking for new books, I’m looking for anything similar to Gillian Flynn, Ruth Ware, or Riley Sager. But I feel like I’ve read SO many books in the genre that it’s getting repetitive and I want to branch out a bit. I’m open to other fiction as long as it’s pretty fast-paced. I have adhd and just can’t slog through something.

Other authors I like and have read most of their collections are Anthony Horowitz, Blake Crouch, and Dan Brown.

    Thanks!!

Husbands & Lovers by Beatriz Williams had me turning pages like there was no tomorrow!

    2. Nothing wrong with loving the mysteries and thrillers! That’s where I live too!

The Millenium Series is definitely up your alley! Starts with the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but The original author died so the most recent ones have been a little different. They’re all written in a similar fashion as Dan Brown where it alternates POV/characters. That really helps move things along when every chapter ir two being a cliff hanger. I think the female MC is pretty unique so you may enjoy them.

A few Tana French novels may fit – the Dublin murder squad series but I would skip the first two if you don’t want slower paced. They sorta change MCs each book, making the 2nd detective from the previous book move to the primary role in the next book.

These are gonna fall more into the cliche areas, but they’re so fast and easy to get through and continue to be successful because their fun. My dad devours the Lee Child’s series with Jack Reacher or Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan series. They’re action and thriller based – a bit unrealistic at times but badass (both TV shows are pretty fun too). Or classic John Grisham novels are always a good bet, like the Pelican Brief.
