I'm talking real indie books. The kind that you randomly found in a bookstore or a random website or in a friends house—not the heavily advertised ones on Instagram or recomended on Goodreads.
Also bonus points if you tell us where you found/came across the book!

That isn’t on Goodreads at all? Or ones that are not recommended by Goodreads?
I own several books that have zero ratings on Goodreads, but I’ve never come across a book I straight up can’t find on that website.
I have a book called The Glass Hammock by an artist/poet called David Ward. It is a limited edition of poetry that I picked up in an art gallery in Edinburgh, Scotland. I’ve never seen it mentioned anywhere or seen it again.
About 20 years ago, I came across a novel posted entirely on the author’s website. It was about people living in a space elevator, I think it was kind of a satire-style comedy?
Anyway at the time I was working at a Staples Copy Center, so I printed out the entire novel. I recall enjoying it, again this was 20 years ago though.
I’d be super impressed if someone knows what it was.
The Messengers: Owls, Synchronicity and the UFO Abductee – Mike Clelland
It’s on Goodreads but I don’t believe it’s well known.
All the Best People by Sloan Wilson. Picked it up in a hotel lobby randomly years ago, never hear of anyone talking about it but it left its mark on me
This is a poetry book but I loved “Gorgeous Freaks” by Julie Poole. And it isn’t on Goodreads
