Hi! Lost my my mom two weeks ago. It's tough to go through the day so I would really appreciate some book that will take my mind elsewhere. I'd prefer some story with happy ending, that will give me hope that everything will be ok. Thank you

I’m sorry for your loss OP! 🫂
If you want a book with themes of grief of losing a mother, I suggest If Only. It’s about a teenage girl who lost her mom and learns bits about her in a diary. It helped me cope as I had a similar situation to the protagonist.
If you want something relating to losing a mom, try Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner. It’s a memoir about her losing her mom but it might hit too close to home.
If you’re looking for something that’ll be a good “distraction” in a sense, try Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. It’s sci fi, which isn’t for everyone, but the story is so interesting and it’ll have you completely hooked.
“The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig
The Thursday Murder Club is lovely for a light distraction.
