Jean Auel Earth’s Children (Clan of the Cave Bear). I love this series so much. There’s a bunch of sex scenes but you can skip them, I promise the books are so rich in history- she did so much anthropology research. Tons of great descriptions of plants and the habitats. Also lots of challenging topics.
