Books on business, managing, providing feedback, etc. where the author is down to earth? (AKA, no humble brags about working in Silicon Valley, hanging out with executives, etc.)

I’ve been searching for a book like this for a few weeks now and thought I finally found it when I stumbled across Radical Candor: How to Get What You Want by Saying What You Mean, but was really turned off by Goodreads reviews mentioning that a large part of book is the author re-hashing their time in Silicon Valley and name-dropping various executives.

This might be a unicorn of a request, but hopefully I’ve just been looking in the wrong places.
