I am a huge Stephen king fan but never really adventured outside of his works in horror lit. I’m looking for a book that is truly disturbing, front to back. Something with a really dark concept that will make me actually feel grossed/frightened. Which is not a common occurrence to me at all
Practically looking for a really disturbing book that is still written well.
Would prefer recommendations that aren’t authored by Stephen king

Tender Is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica or Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind. If that’s not disturbing enough… The 120 Days of Sodom by Marquis de Sade maybe does it for you.
