I usually gravitate towards queer lit that explores the human condition. I often reach for really beautiful lyrical prose, often with a sad underbelly. Think ocean vuong, James Baldwin, Jeanette Winterson, Leslie Feinberg.
Now I want that, just angrier,
Fiction, nonfiction, poetry, prose etc. are all welcome. modern and historical are both on the table too. I think what draws me towards historical pieces, is that it puts today in perspective for me. On the flip side, modern work strums the chord that is deeply personal and relatable.
