So I got around to reading the SECOND book. And oh my god it was completely different from the first. So I didn't bawl my eyes out when Valentino died which is good! However I was going to cry at the chapters where we got to see Rufus and Mateo again because now ik their fate.
Anyways I really liked the chemistry with Orion and Valentino, albeit short it was really interesting. Don't gimme the whole "they just met!" thing either because again, they had a day. I also really liked how Valentino didn't die in vain. Like he died but he still was able to give Orion his heart. And the ending "our heart" was so AUHGGGH SWEET.
Also we got more details on Death Cast which made the book interesting as well. Because essentially Joaquin is the antagonist right? But he's written to be creating this whole program to make it seem like he thinks he's doing a good thing. I really liked insight about him and his family.
ALSO ROLANDO. Awesome guy. I liked his conversation with the person he called up (and he showed actual pity unlike Andrea) and the advice he recieved and how it connected the mains story with a side story at the end.
I'm excited for the third book.
