So the last few years I've been really struggling to keep up reading, however there's a certain kind of genre that I've become absolutely obsessed with and I'm not sure what it is! Not even sure if it's a genre or a feeling.
My recent favourites that have kept me coming back to reading are
* 'A Psalm for the Wild-Built' and 'A Prayer for the Crown-Shy' by Becky Chambers
* 'Lonely Castle in the Mirror' by Mizuki Tsujimura
* 'Howl's Moving Castle' by Diana Wynne Jones
* 'The Song of Achilles' by Madeline Miller
I love the magical realism aspects of all of these, but more than anything I love the in depth exploration of the characters. If it helps any more, some of my favourite tv shows are Fleabag, Twin Peaks, The Leftovers, Dark, Severance, Mr Robot, Bojack, Gravity Falls.
It appears I really enjoy character driven stories that make me feel, slight fantasy/magical aspects and a good mystery.
