Just finished one of those series that just absolutely sucked me in and gave me all the feels and now I’m suffering from a pretty serve book hangover. You know the one- where you’re all in on the world and the romance?
I’m searching for a series/book that is good enough to cure my book hangover.

I usually go for short stories or novellas when I feel like this! What are you into, usually? Are you looking to change it up or is this a “hair of the dog” situation
Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. This cured me from a book hangover as well
PLEASE read A Short Stay in Hell
Sixteen ways to defend a walled city
Ah I know the feeling. It doesn’t always work. You can find yourself unconsciously comparing and tossing aside perfectly good books because they are not the same and thus not as good.
I reread favs. Rereading my last omg that was the awesomest ever, helped. After the 3rd time through I started to notice the not so good bits more, the annoying, oh THIS characters arc, meh and even the editing mistakes! LOL.
At which point I went back to the others and found, hey these authors do great stuff too, albeit in a different style.
Also reading other genres for a bit helped too. I went from Fantasy to Mysteries. Read all of Ann Cleeves Vera series of books, good stuff.
And found Candice Fox, Crimson Lake books which had the most quirky and interesting PI ever. Not comedy but some funny bits in it. Stars 11 cats and 7 geese too, which helped.
