I prefer the romance to be the subplot and not the main focus of the book but will read a romance book if the writing is really good, i also only want to read books where the protag is 30+ can be 30 yrs old or an old man idc just tired of reading about high schoolers

Well I doubt it’s what you’re looking for but Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy fits the bill
If you like fantasy, Dark Rise and Dark Heir saga by CS Pacat, give it a chance.
