Novels like Stanislaw Lem’s Solaris?

I am searching for a novel that will make me feel the same kind of astonishment as when I first read Solaris.

I want something that will pull on my heart strings while also provoking philosophical thoughts about the nature of life, the cosmos etc.

I know this is a very poorly formulated post but I am desperate to feel that sense of intrigue once again, but most works of fiction feel utterly shallow in comparison.
