Looking to read more nonfiction this year and I have some things to do today that would allow me to listen to an audiobook. I’m open to anything, but I am interested in dark history, true crime, first hand accounts of adventures or disasters, and paranormal stuff. Thanks!

The gold standard UFO/conspiracy novel is *Chasing Shadows* by Delonge/Hartley. It’s military-centric but 2/3 of the main POV characters are not in the military.

Red Rising
Dead Mountain by Donnie Eichar. About the Dyatlov Pass mystery of 1959. Dozens of conspiracy theories about the causes of death circulated for decades. Even if you’re not totally into hiking, Cold War politics or meteorological events, this was a fascinating book.
