i’m not sure if this is a genre, but i’m looking for a book or series that has similar sitcom vibes to gilmore girls, new girl, etc especially leaning towards a found family friend group. something fun and sweet and interesting (it can have fantasy elements, or any other genre) where the conflict isn’t centred around romantic relationships or big misunderstandings.
a normal and realistic amount of conflict is great!! i just want the majority of the plot to be focused on whatever adventure/workplace/roommate context they’re in, not cheating accusations, breakups, secret pasts, etc.
genre doesn’t matter!! could be a bunch of roommates, could be adventurers on a quest, whatever, i just want adult found family vibes in a somewhat cozy and domestic context.
