The last I stopped I was at 49% (Beginning of Part 3 Chapter 6) and still has another 3.4 hours to go according to my Kobo. So far I really disliked the Frank, Tammy and Abigail characters. Frank seemed to be a know-it-all and paranoid dad, Tammy seemed judgy and overly-indulging parent, and Abigail is an insufferable little brat.
The part where Frank had to swap room with Abigail because there is some spiders in her room is also baffling. Unless I missed something, there should be no reason why Abigail could not stay with Tammy in her room. She's the foster parent. Abigail is literally her responsibility. Also, this happen just a few pages after Maggie mentioned that if they need anything they can just press 0 on the phone. The place is supposed to be the camp of some ultra-rich family. They have carpenters, clean up crew, and caterers working there but they don't have pest exterminator for a place built literally in wilderness?
From some reviews, I heard that there is a plot twist in the end. For those of you who has finished the book and agreed with me on the cantankerous personality of the characters, do you feel that the ending worth soldiering through the frustrating narrator (Frank)?
