I have noticed that because of the book I gravitate toward (danmei, BL,…) I have actually 0 books written by and for African but more European (where I'm from) and Asian.

So if you are from Africa (I'm obviously going to check google out but I would also like to see opinion on which book you liked) do you have any rec with :

    • must be written by and for your own people. I don't mind needing to search thing up. I want to be able to see how people from X place write Z and what kind of plot they seems to gravitate toward. It's really an interesting thing to see.
must be queer and I'm talking as in the main character is gay. Not a side character seen in chapter 4. Preferably a mlm male protagonist but not obligatory.

    • must be in 3 person pov

    • Preferably fantasy and before modern time because I heavily gravitate toward fantasy and medieval era in my reading.

    • Can be about colonialism as much as it can be set in the kingdom of F fighting against W with a political plot in the background or UwU boy fell in love with boy next door UwU. I'm not picky on that.

    • romance doesn't have to be the main plot point but it would be very nice if there is a love pairing

    • book rec can be in french (I'm a native French speaker) as in English (I'm C2 so there is no need to hold yourself back if you think the book may be too difficult)

    • sadly : the book must be at the very least available on Internet

    • if it's on Internet the language don't matter (obviously preferably available in paper but if it's only available as a fan translation OR doesn't have an English/french version don't hold back either! I started reading English, sometimes even chinese, books with google translation it won't stop me lol)

Adjacent book rec to this (but please say it if it's the case) : if you got any queer books rec written by and for African American, by and for Indigenous Americans, by and for Asian (excluding Chinese, Japanese, Korean), by and for middle Eastern,… Then please do tell me!
